A Virginia court ruled Friday that legislators will have to redraw the state’s congressional lines by Sept. 1, ruling that it illegally packed African-American voters into a single district. Reps. Scott Rigell’s (R-VA 02) and Randy Forbes’s (R-VA 04) districts are the most likely to gain Democratic voters. The attorney for Republican legislators said they’ll likely appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. (National Journal)
