Surefire way to get yourself arrested: Throw footwear at a Clinton.

Just as she was beginning a speech Thursday afternoon at the Mandalay Bay hotel-casino in Las Vegas, Hillary Clinton was met with a flying object. Clinton ducked, the AP reports, and was not hit. She reportedly took the whole affair lightly, turning it into a joke.

The woman who threw the object, which she said was a shoe, was removed from the event by security. She gave no reasons for throwing a shoe, and authorities tell the AP that she will be arrested.

This isn’t the first time Clinton has found herself on the wrong side of footwear. In July 2012, when she was secretary of State, Clinton’s motorcade was pelted with tomatoes and shoes during a visit to Egypt. Apparently Clinton has a knack for avoiding flying projectiles: She wasn’t actually hit by shoes or fruit back then either.

But the real political master of shoe dodging has to be George W. Bush, who did this in Iraq in 2008:
