Attorney General Eric Holder has been taken to a D.C. hospital after experiencing chest pains, NBC reports.
According to a statement from the Department of Justice, Holder experienced "symptoms including faintness and shortness of breath" during his morning meeting with staff. The attorney general "is currently resting comfortably and in good condition" and was taken to the hospital as a precaution, says the department's Director of Public Affairs, Brian Fallon. The statement says that Holder is alert and speaking with doctors.
According to NBC's Pete Williams, Holder was released from the hospital Thursday afternoon to rest at home.
