Hillary Clinton on Hard Choices: 'That's What Any President Faces'

It's only Day 2 of the former secretary of State's media blitz, and her book tour sounds a lot like a campaign run.

In her new book, Hillary Clinton takes on the question everyone's been asking her.

"Will I run for president in 2016?" she writes. "The answer is, I haven't decided yet."

But the former secretary of State certainly had a potential bid in mind when she wrote Hard Choices, out Tuesday.

"The reason I called this book Hard Choices is because that's what any president faces," Clinton said during a Tuesday morning interview on Good Morning America, which covered her health, President Obama's foreign policy decisions, and her "dead broke" comment. Clinton launched her media blitz to promote the book Monday night, with Diane Sawyer on ABC. "I remember very well my husband being in the White House, making some hard choices that were not popular at the time but being able to persevere, and everybody could see the results."

Hillary Clinton on Her Book's Title

In her book, Clinton says she wants to explain to Americans "how any president, I don't care what party you're in, what perspective or experience you have, any president will face hard choices."

Pair this rhetoric with her assertion Monday night that the scandal surrounding the 2012 attack in Benghazi is "more of a reason to run," and Clinton's book tour sounds a lot more like the beginnings of a campaign.
