Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., on Tuesday subpoenaed contracts and other documents from QSSI, the company tapped to fix HealthCare.gov.

The Health and Human Services Department last week had named QSSI, the contractor hired to create the data hub for the Affordable Care Act exchange, as the lead contractor to fix problems with the website.

Issa subpoenaed QSSI's HHS contracts, including funding, as well as all communication between the company and HHS, the Office of Management and Budget, the White House, and the Office of the Vice President.

He had sent QSSI a letter on Oct. 23 requesting the company to submit the information within two days, or be subject to a subpoena. "It is crucial that you provide information quickly because of the serious concerns about data security related to the lack of testing," the letter stated.
