President Obama is losing his top climate-change adviser to the private sector, Reuters reports, as Heather Zichal plans to leave the administration in a few weeks.
The 37-year-old has been with Obama since his first presidential campaign and helped mold his policies on greenhouse-gas emissions. The White House did not name a successor.
Zichal previously served as climate adviser for then-Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., both before and after his presidential bid in 2004. National Journal profiled Zichal earlier this year.
