House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., announced Friday that she and her husband delivered their third child, making her the only member of Congress ever to give birth three times while in office.

The announcement was made in an Instagram post on Monday by McMorris Rodgers.

"Welcome Brynn Catherine! (Born at 6:19 am on Nov. 24, weighing 7 lbs. 6 oz.) Nothing compares to the miracle of bringing a new life into the world. She's beautiful and seems to be taking it all in stride. Our hearts are full," she wrote.

McMorris Rodgers, the fourth-ranking House Republican and a rising GOP star, announced in July that she and her husband, Brian Rodgers, were expecting another child.

McMorris Rogers gave birth to her daughter, Grace, in 2010. In 2007, the couple had their first child, Cole.
