Conservatives aren't super excited with the new House GOP plan to put a clean debt-ceiling raise up for a vote Tuesday night.
The Senate Conservatives Fund on Tuesday morning called for Speaker John Boehner to resign. The influential conservative group Heritage Action for America plans to "key vote" against the bill, an implicit threat to conservatives who may want to vote for the measure. Sen. Ted Cruz already said Monday that a debt-ceiling raise with no spending cuts attached would be "irresponsible."
Fox News wasn't any kinder to House Republican leadership Tuesday. Boehner said Tuesday morning that the bill will pass with the needed Republican help, including his own vote. Here's a sample of what Republicans who vote for the clean debt-ceiling measure can look forward to.
