Republicans

“This is Groundhog Day all over again, going back to the ‘90s. Republicans never learn and will be burned again.”

“They’ve bragged about it for months. So, who else should get the blame?”

“Even The Wall Street Journal says this is a kamikaze strategy by the Republicans. The Republicans want to hold the economy hostage, and voters recognize how crazy that is.”

“This will be one more step in independent voters moving away from Republicans. The real question is, can Dems make them feel comfortable?”

“They always want to shut government down. It’s their default position.”

Republicans

“The GOP is fly paper for blame, with good reason. John Boehner isn’t able to execute any sort of control over his caucus.”

“Democrats control the White House and the biggest megaphone. House leadership is setting itself up to fail.”

“They always do blame Republicans, because the press will tell them so.”

“Because people think they are idiots.”

“We are the stupid party right now.”

“And rightly so. The tea-party faction cares little about governing. They only care about making a point.”

“Because the GOP is inept at messaging, they will totally screw this up.”
