State Rep. Zach Nunn (R) and state Rep. Jon Jacobsen (R) said Republicans have both encouraged them to consider challenging freshman Rep. Cindy Axne (D) in 2020. Neither have ruled it out.

Nunn said his wife and kids have "already voted" on a potential run, but he's still having conversations with constituents. (WHO-TV)

Jacobsen said his decision would depend on Axne's time in office: "It is far too early to make those determinations. Decisions to run for office must be based upon performance, and not politics. We must give our newly elected Representative an opportunity to perform." (Bleeding Heartland)

Former Rep. David Young (R), who Axne ousted in 2018, also hasn't ruled out a comeback bid. But state Sen. Brad Zaun (R), who lost to Young in 2014, said he won't make another run.
