James Thompson, the Democratic 2018 KS-04 nominee, “was arrested for driving with a suspended license” at the end of January. The Democrat is eyeing a bid for retiring Sen. Pat Roberts’ (R) seat. “Thompson said his license was suspended in January because of a speeding ticket he had failed to pay in Sedgwick County. He said he didn’t realize his suspended license status when he went on an annual hunting trip with friends later that month.” Thompson said he paid the fine and had his license reinstated.
