Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-07) said Thursday he’s going to wait until January to decide on a potential bid in 2020 for the remainder of the late Sen. John McCain’s (R) term but wants to consult with his family and help Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D) win this year’s Senate race first. (Hotline reporting)

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT. Latino Victory Fund “is launching an effort to recruit … Gallego to run in the 2020 special election.” (Politico)

NOW WE RETURN TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING. “DefendArizona amended an FEC filing this week—after" Rep. Martha McSally (R) "prevailed in the state’s Republican senate primary—to note that Blue Magnolia’s donation had actually come from Larry Van Tuyl, an Arizona native and the chairman of investment giant Berkshire Hathaway’s automotive division.

"But DefendArizona did not amend the source of its Highway 76 LLC donation. That company has also donated $250,000 to the Republican Governors Association. According to that group’s filing with the IRS, the contribution came on the same day as its donation to DefendArizona.” (Daily Beast)
