Senate money pours in during Q2

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas reported raising $4 million in the second quarter with $10 million on hand, according to the Washington Examiner. Ohio Democrat Sherrod Brown on Tuesday announced he raised $3.7 million and had $11.1 million in the bank. Nevada Republican Dean Heller raised $2.4 million over those three months and reported $5.9 million to spend. Pennsylvania Democrat Bob Casey reported a $2.2 million quarterly haul and ended June with $9.8 million in reserves.

Craig joins the million-dollar club

Democrat Angie Craig announced raising more than $1 million in the second quarter and ended with $1.4 million on hand for her rematch against Republican Rep. Jason Lewis in Minnesota's 2nd District. At least 10 Democratic House candidates have announced raising seven figures during the last fundraising period, from April 1 to June 30.

Murphy picks up key endorsement in Minn.

National Nurses United, a super PAC that supported Sen. Bernie Sanders in 2016, endorsed Democratic Minnesota state Rep. Erin Murphy for governor on Tuesday.
