Smith Signatures Come Up Short

There are two candidates left in the Democratic primary.

Former Hillary Clinton adviser Guy Smith (D) ended his bid after failing to collect enough signatures to qualify for the Aug. 14 primary. The two Democrats left are Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim (D) and former cable executive Ned Lamont (D), who won the state party endorsement. (Hartford Courant)
