First-quarter fundraising reports were due Sunday night for the period ranging from Jan. 1 to March 31. Hotline found more than 40 incumbents who were outraised by one or more Democratic or independent challengers. (Note that some of the Pennsylvania members who were outraised found themselves in competitive districts, with new challengers, in mid-February—halfway through the quarter—thanks to court-ordered redistricting.)

The list:

Don Young (ALASKA AT-LARGE)
French Hill (AR-02)
Doug LaMalfa (CA-01)
Tom McClintock (CA-04)
Paul Cook (CA-08)

And the following 15 Republicans trailed at least one opponent in cash on hand: McClintock; Rohrabacher; King; Bergman; Bishop; Pittenger; Budd; Donovan; Tenney; Garrett; Grothman; and Reps. Duncan Hunter (CA-50); John Faso (NY-19); Ralph Norman (SC-05), and Keith Rothfus (PA-17)*. (Hotline reporting)

*Rothfus’s opponent, Rep. Conor Lamb (D-PA 18), outraised him as well, but most of Lamb’s fundraising was for a special election in a different district, and Lamb didn’t make it clear he would run in the new 17th District until mid-March.
