State GOP Targets Marchand’s Gun Control Policy

Its microsite calls his “red flag” proposal “an invasive gun ban.”

The state Republican Party launched a website,, which calls out former Portsmouth Mayor Steve Marchand’s (D) support for a red-flag program to take guns away from those deemed a threat to others, calling it “an invasive gun ban that violates the Second Amendment rights of Granite Staters.”

Marchand: “The reality is this in politics: when I wake up in the morning as a Democrat the NRA gives me a D. D for Democrat.” (NHPR)
