Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO) is in a unique position, serving as both the representative of a swing state and chairman of the NRSC.

“One moment he’s working with Democrats on an immigration bill opposed by President Donald Trump and blasting the administration’s marijuana policies. The next he’s planning the political doom of those same Democrats and strategizing with Trump on how to keep the Senate in Republican hands.”

On the campaign side of things, Gardner is confident about his party’s chances, though he won’t predict the number of seats the GOP might pick up.

“I would not [put a number]. I am optimistic about every single one of these races. Part of that is just because of who I am,” Gardner said. (Politico)
