GOP donor Foster Friess (R) said he is still considering a primary challenge to Sen. John Barrasso (R) but praised his would-be opponent.
Friess: “I love the current senator.”
“Friess, who made millions in mutual funds, said he’s willing to at least partially self-finance a Senate bid, but he said it wouldn’t be ‘honorable’ for him to outspend Barrasso.”
“He’s an orthopedic surgeon, and orthopedic surgeons can’t make as much money as I’ve been able to make,” he said.
“Rather than talk Senate politics, the rodeo-loving Friess” touted “what he calls his ‘dual passions:’ his hope of ‘returning civility to our culture’ and his campaign, via his PatientsUSA.com website, to see health-care providers publish their prices.” (USA Today)
