IL-03: “The Illinois Republican Party on Monday announced it was exploring ‘all options’ to dump Holocaust denier and white supremacist Arthur Jones in the wake of a Sun-Times report that he is poised to clinch the GOP nomination for” Rep. Dan Lipinski’s (D) seat. (Chicago Sun-Times)

TX-16: El Paso County Judge Veronica Escobar (D) released her first TV ad, in which she describes El Paso as the “epicenter of the Border, a community of talented, hard-working citizens who make America great.” However, she warns that corruption in Washington threatens to undo this. “I ran for county judge, to help stop it. Together, we did…but now we face new threats, from Donald Trump and Washington D.C.” (release)

The seat is open after Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D) chose to run for Senate. Escobar is competing against a slew of Democratic challengers in the non-competitive district.
