California Republicans have yet to name a strong candidate to challenge Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D) for her seat. Without a viable candidate, the November election might consist of only two Democrats, Feinstein and state Senate President Kevin de León (D).

This would be a repeat of the 2016 Senate race when state Attorney General Kamala Harris (D) and Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D) faced off. Also with no major candidate to coalesce around, Republican voter turnout could be low. (Los Angeles Times)
