CA-22: “The controversy surrounding” Rep. Devin Nunes’ (R) “turn in the national spotlight has sparked a wave of interest in” Fresno County Deputy District Attorney Andrew Janz’s (D) “long-shot campaign, powered by deep hostility toward Nunes’ role in the effort to delegitimize the federal probe into whether Russia infiltrated President Donald Trump’s campaign team. … In recent days, Twitter has been abuzz with calls from Democrats across the nation to donate to Janz’s campaign.” Janz: “We’re looking really good, thanks to him. I think we took in $100,000 between today and yesterday.” (Politico)

CA-49: Rep. Susan Davis (D-53) endorsed former Hillary Clinton policy adviser Sara Jacobs (D) in the race to replace retiring Rep. Darrell Issa (R). “Davis said she doesn’t usually make a primary endorsement but the large field of Democrats—there are five running so far—prompted her to get behind Jacobs earlier than usual. … Davis joins” Rep. Juan Vargas (R-51) in “backing Jacobs.” (San Diego Union-Tribune)
