Former Obama administration official Andy Kim’s (D) contributors in the fourth quarter included “actor Mark Ruffalo … singer/actress Barbra Streisand … philanthropist Alex Soros and actress Piper Perabo.”
Kim outraised incumbent Rep. Tom MacArthur (R), taking in $345,000 and starting the election year with $431,000 in cash on hand. MacArthur raised $269,000 and had $932,000 on hand.
Kim also “received $2,000 from House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer’s campaign fund and another $5,000 from Hoyer’s political action committee, AmeriPAC.”
MacArthur received “$183,000 from other campaign committees and PACs, including the Majority Committee PAC, Republican Main Street PAC, Republican Whip Steve Scalise’s Eye of the Tiger PAC, and the moderate Tuesday Group PAC.” (Burlington County Times)
