ILLINOIS: The Bernie Sanders-aligned group Our Revolution endorsed marketing consultant Marie Newman (D), who is challenging Rep. Dan Lipinski (D-03) and Cook County Commissioner Jesus “Chuy” Garcia (D), who is running for retiring Rep. Luis Gutierrez’s (D) seat. (Politico)

IN-06: Businessman Jonathan Lamb (R) released an ad that touts his uphill campaign “running against the vice president’s brother,” businessman Greg Pence (R). “Some people say that that’s crazy, but I’m Jonathan Lamb and I got to run,” he says in the spot, while jogging. (Advertising Analytics) Rep. Luke Messer (R) is retiring.

MA-03: “The Massachusetts Nurses Association, the largest union and professional association of registered nurses and health professionals in the state, has endorsed” state Sen. Barbara L’Italien (D) “in her campaign for” retiring Rep. Niki Tsongas’ (D) seat, “making it the first major union to endorse any candidate in the race.” (release)

MS-03: State Sen. Sally Doty (R) entered the race to replace retiring Rep. Gregg Harper (R). “Doty, 50, a Republican attorney from Brookhaven, qualified Monday for the race at the Mississippi Republican Party headquarters in downtown Jackson. Doty, who chairs the Senate Energy Committee and is vice chairwoman of Judiciary A, has been a part of Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves leadership team, and a key lawmaker in recent years. She is one of five senators serving on the Joint Legislative Budget Committee.” (Jackson Clarion Ledger)

TX-05: Susan B. Anthony List, a national anti-abortion rights group, endorsed former congressional campaign manager Bunni Pounds (R). Pounds is running to succeed her boss, retiring Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R). (release)

VA-06: Sen. Ted Cruz (R) endorsed Republican National Committeewoman Cynthia Dunbar’s (R) bid for retiring Rep. Bob Goodlatte’s (R) seat. (release)
