Roger Stone wants Hulk Hogan for Senate
In an interview with Patrick Slevin‘s blog, The Influential, political consultant and Trump confidant Roger Stone said he’s trying to convince wrestling legend Hulk Hogan (aka Terry Bollea) to oppose Florida Gov. Rick Scott for the Republican U.S. Senate nomination in 2018. (Scott has yet to formally enter the race.) “At a minimum, I hope to convince Hogan to body slam Scott in every debate,” Stone said.
DCCC now targeting Stivers's Ohio district
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee added three seats to the “Majority Makers” list of 79 Republican-held seats it is targeting: Ohio’s 15th, held by National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Steve Stivers; Wisconsin’s 7th, held by Rep. Sean Duffy; and South Carolina’s 5th, held by a 2017 special-election winner, Rep. Ralph Norman.
Texas Gov. Abbott will stump for Pearce in New Mexico
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott will headline a fundraiser for Rep. Steve Pearce‘s bid for New Mexico governor on Feb. 8 in Hobbs, N.M. Pearce is the early front-runner for the Republican nomination to replace Gov. Susana Martinez, who is term-limited.
