NC-13: Former immigration attorney Kathy Manning (D) reported raising $530,000 in her bid against freshman Rep. Ted Budd (R). Manning entered the race in early December. The other notable Democrat in the race is community college professor Beniah McMiller.
PA-01: Deputy Philadelphia Mayor Nina Ahmad (D) “raised over $579,000 and finished the first month of her campaign with roughly $564,000 in the bank. The amount was more than any challenger to Brady has ever raised over any period of time. In addition to a loan to her campaign, Ahmad raised over $115,000 from donors in less than a month since announcing her intention to run.” (release)
TX-29: Health care CEO Tahir Javed (D) announced raising “almost $253,000 in just three weeks according to a statement put out by his campaign. … Javed, who owns more than 25 businesses, said he hasn’t ruled out putting his own money in the campaign as well.” He’s in a crowded Democratic primary for retiring Rep. TX-32: Former Clinton aide Ed Meier (D) “announced Tuesday that he raised $210,000 during the final three months of last year in his primary bid for the chance to” oust Rep. Pete Sessions (R). He outraised his nearest primary rivals, former NFL player Colin Allred (D) and former Obama appointee Lillian Salerno (D), who both “reported that their campaigns raised $160,000 during the same period.” Meier ended with $500,000 in the bank. UT-04: Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams (D) announced raising $502,000 in the 2.5 months since he launched a bid to challenge Rep. Mia Love (R). He ended with $496,000 cash on hand. (Salt Lake Tribune)
