University Regent Allison Stephens (D) is considering entering the race for retiring Rep. Ruben Kihuen’s (D) Las Vegas-based seat, according to Rep. Dina Titus (D-01). Titus said she’s fielding calls from interested candidates and praised North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee (D) as someone who “fits the demographics of that district.”

“She said she was not supportive of” former Rep. Steven Horsford (D) “attempting to regain the seat. In 2012, Horsford was elected the 4th District’s first representative when it was created after the 2010 census. Horsford lost to” former Rep. Cresent Hardy (R) “in 2014. After one term, Hardy lost to Kihuen in 2016.” (Las Vegas Sun)
