Levin’s Son Won’t Run for Governor

Abdul El-Sayed won Bernie Sanders’s supporters backing.

Former state official Andy Levin (D), the son of Rep. Sandy Levin (D-09), said in an op-ed on “Tuesday he will not run for governor but did not rule out a congressional campaign should his father decide to retire.”

“In a follow-up interview, Levin said he is not ready to back … any other Democrat running for governor but will support the party’s nominee.” (Detroit News)

State Attorney General Bill Schuette (D) “in an interview on WJR AM-760 radio in Detroit … said Tuesday that U.S. Senate GOP nominee Roy Moore of Alabama should ‘step aside’ unless strong evidence is presented to contradict claims of sexual behavior and misconduct involving underage girls and young women.” (Detroit News)
