Four campaigns said Monday they were not invited to the RGA’s meeting in Austin last week: Huntsville, Ala. Mayor Tommy Battle (R), former Kansas state Rep. Ed O’Malley (R), Georgia state Sen. Michael Williams (R), and Nevada Treasurer Dan Schwartz (R).

Schwartz consultant Rory McShane: “Laxalt’s kissing D.C.’s ass. Dan isn’t.”

Former RGA Executive Director Phil Cox, who now is co-founder of the bipartisan firm 50-State, expects to work on independent expenditure groups supporting “eight to 10” gubernatorial candidates and six on behalf of the RGA, for which he is a consultant. (Hotline reporting)
