State House Speaker Mike Turzai (R) will make it clear by Thanksgiving whether he intends to run for governor, Turzai consultant Jeff Coleman said.

“Turzai has been calling party leaders, committee members and House members to consult with him about whether to jump in. … Turzai wanted to wait to make his decision until after the 2017-18 state budget was finished and the 2017 November election was over before making his decision. … With both of those now out of the way, [Coleman] said, ‘the political team and Speaker Turzai have been in an accelerated mode since the polls closed yesterday.’” (PennLive)
