Management consultant Kevin Nicholson (R) called Speaker Paul Ryan’s (R-WI) “occasionally lukewarm support for President Donald Trump ‘a problem,’ and criticized the speaker for having a ‘light footprint in the state.’”

Nicholson’s opponent in the primary, state Sen. Leah Vukmir (R), “is a vocal supporter of Ryan’s and on Wednesday her campaign manager called on Nicholson to apologize for his remarks.”

“Nicholson’s recent comments on Ryan came during a back-and-forth conversation between the candidate and two unidentified people at the Jefferson County event.” (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel)
