Former Rep. Rick Berg (R) “is mulling a possible run” against Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D). “If he decides to run and wins the Republican nomination, it would set up a rematch of the 2012 race in which … Heitkamp narrowly won.” Berg “said he is not now planning to enter the 2018 race, but has not ruled out a run, either.” (The Bismarck Tribune)

State Sen. Tom Campbell (R) is running for the GOP nomination, and several other Republicans are still weighing the decision to run.
