Gov. Charlie Baker (R) and Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito (R) “raised more than $1.2 million from June 1 to Aug. 31 for their individual accounts. The state Republican Party, which Baker controls, took in more than $150,000. … Pooled together [with his federal account], the four accounts show nearly $9.8 million on hand.”

“Former state budget chief Jay Gonzalez’s (D) account had $41,014 at the end of August, Newton Mayor Setti Warren (D) shows $24,152, and environmentalist Robert Massie (D) had $13,439.” (Boston Globe)

SIDE GIG. “In January 2018 … Warren will begin a post as a visiting fellow at Mount Ida College in Newton.” (Wicked Local)

JUST IN CASE. “Baker has requested federal permission to reconfigure how certain subsidies are handed out in the state, in an effort to protect the Massachusetts insurance market should Trump do away with federal subsidies.” (Boston Business Journal)
