State Rep. Knute Buehler (R) “has passed the $1 million mark in fundraising in the first month of his campaign for governor, according to new disclosure reports.” A lot of Buehler’s fundraising success comes from his ties to “the business community. His biggest contribution by far is $500,000 from Nike co-founder Phil Knight.” (Oregon Public Broadcasting)

OUT OF THE RACE. Secretary of State Dennis Richardson (R) said last month “that he will not run for governor in 2018.” (Portland Oregonian)
