“NARAL Pro-Choice America today endorsed” state Rep. Stacey Abrams (D) “in her campaign for Georgia governor.” NARAL said the endorsement was for Abrams’ “unwavering record of action, fighting to expand opportunities for all Georgians including women and people of color.” (release)

LITMUS TEST. The state GOP committee will debate a resolution Saturday calling “for gubernatorial candidates to pledge their support for a state version of the Religious Freedom and Restoration Act if they’re elected.” Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle (R) “was an outspoken supporter of the legislation in 2016, but he said this year that it should be up to federal lawmakers to decide the issue.” State Sen. Hunter Hill (R) “said late Thursday he would be the ‘first candidate to sign my name’ if the state committee passes the resolution.” (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
