Rep. Steve Pearce (R) “is suing” Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver (D), “asking a federal judge to … allow him to transfer about $1 million from his congressional campaign committee to finance his run for governor.”

Toulouse Oliver “has told Pearce he must abide by New Mexico’s campaign contribution limits and cannot take more than $5,500 he raised as a congressman to pay for his primary election campaign for governor.”

Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D) “took only $5,500 from her congressional account, then gave the remaining tens of thousands of dollars to Democratic Party organizations.” (Santa Fe New Mexican)
