The state Republican Party is launching its “first direct mail attacks on statewide candidates in the 2018 cycle,” according to a spokesman.

The mailers — which attack businessman Andy Gronik (D) and state Assemblyman Dana Wachs (D) as an “out-of-touch con artist” and “trial attorney,” respectively — target “specific demographics, complimented by statewide digital ads carrying the same message.” (Hotline reporting)
