Gov. John Bel Edwards (D) on a call with reporters on Wednesday said he would “embrace” his state’s popular Medicaid expansion as he seeks reelection in 2019. Medicaid expansion was a cornerstone of his 2015 campaign.

Edwards: “I have no problem running on that.”

Edwards also called on the Senate to work with governors and Democrats to make the “necessary” changes to the Affordable Care Act. (Hotline reporting)
