2016 challenger Peter Jacobs (D) launched an exploratory committee for Rep. Leonard Lance’s (R) seat. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) backed Jacobs’ candidacy last year when he lost to Lance by 11 points. But the district is a top DCCC target this year after Hillary Clinton won it by a point. Jacobs announced his candidacy in a Facebook video on Tuesday, sharing a story of his parents immigration to the U.S. and railing on the “corrupt” American political system and its lack of action on high drug prices and climate change.
