He’s the fourth Democrat to announce a challenge to Hunter.

Re­tired Navy SEAL Josh But­ner is chal­len­ging Rep. Duncan Hunter (R). But­ner is “the fourth Demo­crat to enter next year’s race. … But­ner said voters in his dis­trict seem most in­ter­ested in health­care, Medi­care, and So­cial Se­cur­ity, and, as a mem­ber of the school board, he hears a lot about edu­ca­tion as well.”

“The on­go­ing crim­in­al in­vest­ig­a­tion in­to Hunter’s use of cam­paign funds spent on per­son­al ex­penses is bound to be an is­sue in the race — But­ner’s cam­paign men­tioned it in the first sen­tence of a news re­lease an­noun­cing his can­did­acy.”(San Diego Uni­on Tribune)
