Perriello draws support from Team Obama

Former Rep. Tom Perriello, who is in a tight race against Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam in the Virginia Democratic gubernatorial primary, on Wednesday circulated a letter touting support from more than two dozen former staffers in President Obama‘s administration. Topping the list were David Plouffe, Nancy-Ann DeParle, Dan Pfeiffer, Jennifer Palmieri, Stephanie Cutter, Julianna Smoot, Cecilia Muñoz, and Patrick Gaspard.

Trump approval rating sinks

A Quinnipiac University poll of registered voters found President Trump‘s approval rating sinking to 37 percent, due in part to eroding support from Republicans, white voters, and men. Compared to a poll earlier this month, Trump’s support from men dropped by 6 points and his support from Republicans dropped 10 points.

Baldwin, Walker both unpopular among voters

A Marquette University Law School poll released Wednesday found that fewer than half of registered voters in Wisconsin have a favorable view of Democratic Sen. Tammy Baldwin and Republican Gov. Scott Walker. Both statewide officeholders are up for reelection in 2018.
