Flores, 52, has a back­ground in en­vir­on­ment­al law. He came to Ju­di­ciary from the En­vir­on­ment­al Pro­tec­tion Agency in 2007, where he had served in a vari­ety of roles, and he was a tri­al at­tor­ney for the Justice De­part­ment’s en­vir­on­ment­al sec­tion. His ex­pert­ise has ex­pan­ded to in­clude an­ti­trust, bank­ruptcy, and state tax­a­tion of in­ter­state com­merce.
