Brown Likely to Back Some Cabinet Picks

He said he will oppose Price and DeVos.

Sen. Sher­rod Brown (D) “in­sisted that he will likely vote yes on a hand­ful of” Pres­id­ent-elect Trump’s Cab­in­et se­lec­tions. “The Ohio Demo­crat said he will likely back Robert Lighth­izer, Trump’s pick for U.S. trade am­bas­sad­or; Wil­bur Ross, Jr., Trump’s com­merce sec­ret­ary pick; de­fense sec­ret­ary nom­in­ee James Mat­tis; trans­port­a­tion sec­ret­ary pick Elaine Chao; and Vet­er­ans Ad­min­is­tra­tion nom­in­ee Dav­id Shulkin.”

Brown “an­nounced he would not sup­port Betsy De­Vos for edu­ca­tion sec­ret­ary.” He also isn’t likely to back Rep. Tom Price’s (R-GA) nom­in­a­tion for Health and Hu­man Ser­vices Sec­ret­ary. (Colum­bus Dis­patch)
