Trump issues warning to Dems on health care

Pres­id­ent-elect Trump is­sued a warn­ing Tues­day to Sen­ate Demo­crats to get on board with re­pla­cing the Af­ford­able Care Act or ex­pect to see him on the stump next fall. “I won some of those states by num­bers that nobody has seen. I will be out there cam­paign­ing,” Trump told The New York Times.

Northam consolidates support in Virginia

Vir­gin­ia Lt. Gov. Ral­ph Northam‘s Demo­crat­ic cam­paign for gov­ernor an­nounced the en­dorse­ment of a dozen Char­lottes­ville lead­ers Tues­day, in­clud­ing 2009 gubernat­ori­al nom­in­ee Creigh Deeds. Tom Per­ri­ello, a former con­gress­man rep­res­ent­ing Char­lottes­ville, entered the Demo­crat­ic primary last week.

EMILY's List set cash record in 2016 cycle

EMILY’s List an­nounced Tues­day that it raised a re­cord-break­ing $90 mil­lion dur­ing the 2016 cycle—a 50 per­cent in­crease from its pre­vi­ous re­cord of $60 mil­lion. In its 31-year his­tory, the or­gan­iz­a­tion has brought in more than $500 mil­lion to boost fe­male can­did­ates who sup­port abor­tion rights.
