Pres­id­ent-elect Don­ald Trump on Wed­nes­day an­nounced State At­tor­ney Gen­er­al Scott Pruitt (R) as his nom­in­ee for ad­min­is­trat­or of the En­vir­on­ment­al Pro­tec­tion Agency. (re­lease)

Pruitt had had been con­sid­er­ing a bid to re­place Gov. Mary Fal­l­in (R), a mem­ber of Trump’s trans­ition team, when she’s term-lim­ited in 2018.
