Morning Call Poll: McGinty 43, Toomey 38

The DSCC is again attacking Toomey on Social Security.

A Morning Call/Muhlenberg College poll (Sept. 12-16, 405 LVs, +/-5.5%) found former gubernatorial chief of staff Katie McGinty (D) at 43%, to Sen. Pat Toomey’s (R) 38%. Toomey’s approval was 27-37%, and his favorability was 28-37%. McGinty’s favorability was 23-28%. The same poll showed Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump 47-38% (release)

COMMITTEE HELP. The DSCC launched a new ad accusing Toomey of “working for Wall Street” and “lining bankers’ pockets” while serving in Congress. It also promotes McGinty, saying that as “a mother of three and ninth of ten kids, McGinty knows what matters. … She’ll fight for equal pay and always protect Social Security.” (release)
