Pre-primary re­ports for Ken­tucky’s May 17 primary were due Thursday, cov­er­ing April 1-27.

In KY-01, the race for re­tir­ing Rep. Ed Whit­field’s (R) seat, former gubernat­ori­al can­did­ate James Comer (R) raised $64,000, spent $273,000, and had $373,000 in cash on hand. (FEC) Former con­gres­sion­al dis­trict dir­ect­or Mike Pa­pe (R) took in $25,000, spent $239,000 spent, and had $96,000 in the bank. (FEC) Hick­man County At­tor­ney Jason Batts (R) drew $3,200, spent $77,000, and had $39,000 in cash on hand. (FEC)
