The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has gone up with its first ad in the state slamming state Sen. Chris McDaniel (R) for his stance on a tort reform package. The spot says McDaniel “[used] the courts to seek an enormous payday”¦ winning over $25 million in just one case.” The Chamber is picking six-term Sen. Thad Cochran, who has received an 88 percent lifetime rating from the group. No word on how long the spot will run, but the Chamber calls it a “sizeable buy” that will run statewide. (Release)

QUOTED: BuzzFeed has compiled more clips from McDaniel’s radio show The Right Side in 2005 and another program he co-hosted Right Talk. Highlights include him calling Al Jazeera “the mouthpiece of al Qaeda,” suggesting an Al Jazeera home shopping network would sell burqas, swords and sandals. (BuzzFeed)
