President Obama triumphantly announced Thursday that sign-ups for the Affordable Care Act reached 8 million as the first enrollment period came to an end.

The president, as he has been prone to do of late, asked Republicans to stop trying to tear down the law.

“I think we can all agree that it’s well past time to move on,” he said.

But not everyone agrees.

The tweet, which came from the official account of the National Republican Congressional Committee, sums up the political back-and-forth that has gripped Washington since 2010. When the tug-of-war will end, we can’t know.
