“Des­pite as­sur­ances that he’s not plan­ning to run for gov­ernor,” Sen. Bill Nel­son (D) “told a group of loc­al busi­ness lead­ers Wed­nes­day he’s temp­ted to run be­cause he doesn’t like where Flor­ida is headed.” Nel­son made the re­mark dur­ing an ad­dress to the Daytona Re­gion­al Cham­ber of Com­merce and “blas­ted” Gov. Rick Scott (R) “and state GOP lead­ers for turn­ing down fed­er­al dol­lars to es­tab­lish high-speed rail” and ex­pand Medi­caid. (Daytona Beach News-Journ­al)
