State Assemblyman Cresent Hardy (R) won the Republican nomination to challenge Rep. Steven Horsford (D), beating political consultant Niger Innis (R), third-time candidate Mike Monroe (R), and sanitation worker Carlo Poliak (R).

Innis refused to concede on Tuesday night, saying, “If these numbers hold up, the biggest winner tonight is Steven Horsford.” Hardy repeated throughout the campaign that he was a fifth-generation Nevadan, while Innis moved to the state from New York in 2007.
